KARING IN ACTION

To whom it may concern:

We ask two of our church’s volunteers to locate a property for several outreach programs as well as a worship center. They found a property on Bruton Rd. in Balch Springs, Tx. That is where the nightmare began. The so-called owner, a self-proclaimed minister, said he had a church for sale besides a warehouse. The church was at 11203 Lake June Rd. Balch Springs, TX. As negotiations continued after contracts were signed it was brought to the attention of Karing In Action, a real not for profit ministry legally operating in TX, that Crystal Drive Baptist Church, Crystal Drive Bible Church, Gowin Industries and two other churches from years past were nothing but fronts for Charles E. Gowin to sell properties illegally and as a fraudulent tax shelter. The supporting evidence was provided to the volunteer’s of Karing In Action, Inc. by members of the real churches, neighbors of the properties in question and anonymous citizens in the community. All of these documents are a matter of public records. The white-collar crimes of Mr. Gowin and his associates, his so-called church members, which are really nothing but relatives by blood or marriage (at least the majority). Mr. Gowin also was operating a so-called corporation for a 13 month period in Texas after the Secretary of State had involuntary dissolved Gowin Industries from February 2008 till March 2009 when our volunteers confronted him with the matter after he had executed a fraudulent Lease/Purchase contract. Mr. Gowin’s crime spree goes back over 20 years involving both state and federal tax fraud, tax evasion, embezzlement of funds, misappropriation of funds, filling false federal and state documents to secure tax-exempt status, coercing members of his so-called church to forge and file false documents, claiming to have Texas corporations when in fact no such corporations existed and selling a property which his so-called church did not own to a 71 year old lady from El Salvador who supposedly gave it to her grandson a few months later when she not only does not read or write English but does not even read or write Spanish and signs her name (Fedelina Estrada) with an X. Mr. Gowin did go to CBS NEWS in Dallas, TX with false information to hide his crimes and hoped to gain the support of the community. The same community that furnished us with the documents which had we not been given Mr. Gowin would have successfully stole another $1,500.000.00 in addition to all the fraudulent mortgages he executed on the properties at Crystal Drive Balch Springs, TX. We are not furnishing this information to CBS because they had opportunity to research the validity of Mr. Gowin’s statements and chose not to. Neighbors had also reported to us that when all the electrical wiring was removed from the Bruton Warehouse, the Hickory Tree House and the Lake June Property that Mr. Gowin and his son Robert removed the wiring for insurance fraud. Mr. Gowin told our volunteer’s who are no longer with Karing In Action that someone from the Dallas Morning News stole the wiring because there was no forcible break in and they were the only one’s with the keys to the property except for Mr. Gowin and his son. The endeavor of Karing in Action was to prevent the illegal sale of the Lake June Property and return it to the original congregation, which Mr. Gowin took it from after he and his family, ran off the real members. In addition Mr. Gowin repeatedly lied about the condition of the properties with the Lake June property having serious electrical and plumbing code violations but because he is personally a friend with the building inspector he was able to secure an illegal certificate of occupancy to aide with the illegal sale of all three properties. Our only intent is to insure that Mr. Gowin does not profit personally from the sale of the Lake June Property and that it is returned to the rightful owners if possible. Actions were taken to stop Mr. Gowin from illegally selling the Lake June property though we could not stop the loss of the property behind the church as Mr. Gowin had already illegally sold it, to be used for a trucking company in a residential neighborhood, which really upset the neighbor’s but when they complained the city would not listen because many of them were personal friends of Charlie Gowin. We have been in contact with the Texas Comptroller’s Office, Texas Secretary of State, Texas Attorney General and the Internal Revenue Service for well over three month’s for most and decided not to buy any of the properties, as all seem to be acquired through ill-gotten gains. Enclosed are many of the supporting documents to bring this over two-decade criminal to justice. We truly regret any hardship for those who have been mislead by this white-collar criminal. We are also forwarding this information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as the fraud among other crimes of money laundering seems to cross state lines. Mr. Gowin has also defrauded Crystal Drive Baptist Church out of approximately $2,500.00 Monthly for using church space and property both inside and outside for equipment that belongs to Gowin Industries. He has not paid rent for over 8 ½ YEARS and is in arrears over $250,000.00. He also gave himself contracts from Gowin Industries to both Crystal Drive Baptist Church and Crystal Drive Bible Church for which much of the Goods are still being stored at the church property.

Mr. Gowin also coned our staff out of monies to purchase electrical wire for the warehouse that was supposedly vandalized and Mr. Gowin and his son Robert illegally installed the wiring without a permit. Mr. Gowin is responsible for numerous code violations at the church property including raw sewage coming out of the back/side of the building and too many electrical violations to count both inside and outside.

We suspect Mr. Gowin is involved with similar crimes in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Kentucky and maybe Hawaii. Subpoena his cell phone records: (214-243-6852). He also had our volunteers use a false no sales tax card at Wal-Mart issued to Crystal Drive Bible Church as well as using the Reliant Energy Bible Church account to provide electric to 1730 Bruton Rd. belonging to Gowin Industries.

It was never any of the all VOLUNTEER STAFF of Karing In Action that conducted any legal improprieties but Charles E. Gowin who has an undetected crime history for over two decades. Undetected till NOW that is. Mr. Gowin is also aware of the fact that the two volunteers shown in the CBS report were ask to resign from the matters some time prior to the television report and the video of these volunteers was an invitation to an Easter service which now they believe was a setup as everything else seemed to be. They were asked to resign because they were advocates of this so-called Pastor Gowin insisting he was a good and hard workingman. We felt that with his deceptive charisma that he had so cleverly manipulated both Mr. Johnson and Mr. Donahue that they would not listen to the reason of the governing Staff of Karing In Action. They had never been shown all the documents submitted in this brief until towards the end of June 2009. They both were absolutely shocked and Mr. Donahue was even in tears. The steps that were ordered by this governing body to prevent Mr. Gowin from selling this property in a fashion similar to the property behind the Church property and we ordered by the Administrative Board of Directors for Karing In Action. We told Mr. Johnson and Mr. Donahue that if they were not conspiring with Mr. Gowin we needed them to be more loyal to our group than this master manipulator. Mr. Donahue had explained the process for the legal transaction sale of said properties so Mr. Gowin was aware that the Lake June Property could only be transferred from one 501(c)(3) to another. That was the only legal method we would participate in. He had no problem with that till it was discovered that his settlement company was a party to the illegal transfer of the property to Fedelina Estrada. When that information with supporting documentation was provided to us we demanded that Mike Vullo and his company resign from their position and we would secure a Title Company with a good reputation. They also left out of the TV spot that on June 26,2009 the property was deeded to Crystal Drive Bible Church, the name that has appeared on the building for over a decade. Mr. Gowin is a criminal of the worst kind because he uses the front of the Church to do his dirty dealings. PLEASE CHECK ALL THE RESEARCH INFORMATION. We do have more information but we believe the information at hand is enough to put this criminal behind bars where he belongs as well as his accomplices. Furthermore it was Mr. Gowin that keep putting off settlement of the properties and we now know that he was just using Karing In Action to prevent foreclosure of the Gowin Industries Warehouse which was to be foreclosed on April 15, 2009. He has also defrauded Bayview Financial the Mortgage Holder. Mr. Gowin has caused the Staff of Karing In Action great hardship when our volunteers provided numerous services to Mr. Gowin including saving his company, Gowin Industries. We are hoping now that Mr. Gowin has furnished us with a video of him that when this story hits the national media others will come forward and for those that he coerced into signing fraudulent documents with Dallas County Official Records they will feel the freedom to also come forward to bring this phony minister to justice. ASK MR. GOWIN FOR HIS CREDENTIALS. ALL HE HAS IS A CHAPLIN BADGE THAT WAS GIVEN TO HIM BY A FRIEND IN THE BALCH SPRINGS POLICE DEPT. Our two volunteer have been reassigned to other ministries for a time of respite and to recover from the scam and illegal scandal Mr. Gowin tried to involve them in. We tried to tell them: “A bad tree has bad fruit”(Charles E. Gowin, on his forth wife. Divorced the first THREE).  At least now, with this evidence, they (our volunteers) now believe the TRUTH.
